Event: Ash Wednesday
Description: First day of Lent, period of fasting leading to Easter
Further Description: Lent is a 40-day period of fasting and repentance inclusive of Good Friday and Holy Saturday. This is a penitential season beginning with Ash Wednesday.

Event: Palm Sunday
Description: Sixth Sunday of Lent and last Sunday before Easter
Further Description: Commemoration of the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem
